How To Buy Tickets

Ticket sales are handled online through the Tribeca Cinemas ticketing system. Please follow the links on the program pages or the schedule page to buy tickets for individual films.

If you have trouble buying tickets, or would like to be informed if/when certain sold out films add additional screenings, please send us an e-mail.


During the festival you will also be able to buy tickets directly at the Tribeca Cinemas boxoffice, at 54 Varick Street (@ Laight, below Canal), New York, NY 10013. The box office will open approximately 2 hours beofre the first screening of the day.

Online:

Purchasing tickets online is the quickest and most convenient way to start your Festival experience. Visit the Official Festival Program for a complete list of 2010 Films and Programs, and use the "Buy Tickets" buttons to enter our Online Ticketing System, where you can fill your shopping cart and check out. Note that a new window will launch in your browser beginning your session in the Online Ticketing System. You can now toggle between the Festival Site and the Online Ticketing System to complete your order.

Upon checkout, you will need to choose your preferred Method of Delivery. Options are as follows:

  • Print at Home - Email Tickets: You will be sent an email from tickets@tribecacinemas.com following your purchase that includes a PDF attachment. This file attachment contains your tickets. Simply print your tickets and bring them to the theater the day of the performance.
  • Will Call - Box Office: Your tickets are available for pick-up beginning approximately 1 hour prior to the scheduled days first show at the applicable venue (see Festival schedule per day for more information.)

 

Ticket Prices and Policies:

Individual Tickets:

  • $15: Opening and Closing Night Screenings
  • $10: General Screenings
  • $8: Student/Senior Discount (Note: You must present valid ID, Seniors over 62 years of age)

Service Charges:

  • $1.50 p/ticket fee for purchase Online
  • $1.00 p/order fee for "Print at Home" Ticket Delivery

 

Admission:

  • To guarantee admittance all ticket and pass holders must be present at the screening or event venue 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time. The Festival reserves the right to sell any empty seats after that time.
  • If you purchased your ticket in advance, you should be in the "Ticket Holders" line, NOT the "Rush" or "Door" sales line (if applicable).
  • All Venues are seated "General Admission" unless otherwise noted. Venues may have pre-reserved seats and sections unavailable for general admission seating.
  • If you choose the "Print at Home" option to deliver your ticket(s), you must bring a copy of the PDF ticket(s) to the event. Note: When you purchase tickets online, you will also receive an electronic receipt but this is NOT your print-at-home ticket(s). Your tickets(s) are a PDF attachment and contain a unique barcode on each ticket.

 

Rush Tickets:

Screenings and Events that have no more advance tickets available will be listed as RUSH TICKETS. Rush ticket lines will form approximately 30 minutes prior to scheduled event times at the venue. Admission will begin approximately 15 minutes before program start time based on availability. Admission is not guaranteed.

 

Online Purchasing - Helpful Information:

Online purchases for the 2010 Festival will take place through the Online Ticketing System. Visit the official Festival schedule first to browse film information and plan your Festival experience. Use the BUY TICKETS links to begin filling your shopping cart. Note that a second window will launch in your browser, starting your session in the Online Ticketing System. You will need to choose your amount of tickets per performance in the Ticketing System window, though you may continue to fill your shopping cart through the Festival schedule.

 

Notes on Online Ticketing System:

  • As soon as you put the first tickets in your shopping cart, the online ticketing session will begin to be timed and you will be logged out of the system after 15 minutes of inactivity. (This timer restarts each time you place an item in your shopping cart). Please continue to watch your session countdown on the left hand side of the page and complete checkout before the timer expires.
  • All Screening and Panel events are General Admission. You may choose "Best Available" or "General Admission" when selecting your performance quantities.
  • To view available performances in the Online Ticketing System, use the TICKETS button in the upper left-hand side of the page. We encourage you to browse available events on the official Festival site for the most interactive, informative experience.
  • Enter your valid promotional code in the space provided if you are eligible to redeem any current offer available online.
  • You can view your selected items at any time by clicking on SHOPPING CART.
  • Prior to checkout, you must login in to the Online Ticketing System. If you do not already have a login, you will be prompted to create a username and password. If you have purchased tickets or any item for the 2008, 2009 or 2010 Film Festival online, you will still have an active account. Use the "Forgot Password" button to retrieve a new valid password.
  • You must check the box accepting the online purchase guidelines at checkout in order to complete your order. Once the box is checked, the BUY button will become available.
  • No refunds. No exchanges. All Sales are final.
